Wagon In The Field

This summer my family and myself spend a wonderful 4 nights in a log wagon in a field
with no electricity or wifi , it was the most tranquil resting peaceful 5 days we have had in a very long time,
The wagon is bookable via Canopy & stars and is situated in a family field in Wiltshire
the wagon is hand made using the natural form of sussex oak
by furniture maker James Noble
who owns the field where the wagon is based,
It is in a beautiful little corner of the field facing a lake,
you have a double bed bunk beds a small gas hob
there's a  little wood burner with wood ready cut
there is also a small table and chairs to sit and eat,
It is extremely well done cosy and spacey.

Outside there is a hammock ,BBQ area with some tree stump seats
a great pizza oven  that is really great fun to use.
an outside toilet and shower
I have to say and I think we would all agree
the toilet was the worst part altho
you do get use to it

OUTSIDE TOILET

You had a hole cut into a plank of wood to sit on and
a bag of sawdust to throw down the hole after you had finished !
we would all go in eyes closed holding our noses
then run out once we had finished haha !

we had to go out into the nearby woods to collect our own firewood
in the evening we would light a fire and sit around till
late into the night looking at the stars
watching the bats flying around and listening to the owls

There was a beautiful Lake with a small rowing boat and canoe
for you to use at your leisure
we spent many happy hours just out on the lake going around
in circles , it was a great laugh
with my son and poppy falling in at one point

The only light you had as solar jars that you would have to leave
outside during the day to charge
with no tv or wifi you had to make your own entertainment
we had fun trying to play scrabble in the dark
we spent long lazy days reading in the hammock or out on the lake
it is definitely an experience I would happily
repeat , I hope to go back next year
If anybody's wants a holiday that involves
going back to nature but with a few comforts
like a comfy bed then I would
recommend this to anybody

There is also a stone clay pizza oven
that we used one night ,it was a mission
to get it alight and hot enough to cook
our pizza's in but we got there in the end
it was something we all really enjoyed doing
I must say they tasted delicious
