SUNNY LA

In October this year I was lucky enough to spend 5 lovely days in LA with my husband
with just 4 nights 5 days we had a lot to cram in so we planned well in advance ,
we brought 48 hr bus hopper passes , which gave us an option of 8 routes all around the city ,wow
was we glad that we did , LA is so much bigger then i imagined everything is far apart , it would have been impossible to do it o foot and I imagine a small fortune in cabs ,
The bus;s was fab and you was given earphone to listen to the commentary ,
I would thoroughly recommend listening , it gives you so much information on
places and points of interest that would just pass you by if they was not
pointed out to you , you can buy the passes on line HERE
they work out a lot cheaper then doing it while your there , also it
saves on your spending money

Hollywood's walk of fame was a real treat to go walk along ,
after seeing it and hearing about so often during our lifetime
it was very exciting to be able to go and walk along it ,
It was a very busy strip with many tourist shops with
people dressed as characters all over hustling to have a
photo taken with you for a few dollars , but I loved it.

I was so excited to find one of favorite actors on the walk of fame

We also went to Santa Monica Beach on the Yellow bus route for a day
while there we visitied the pier ,
again we brought armbands from Groupon
for a quarter of the price you would pay once there,
we printed the token and took them to the sales window
and received our armbands it was a really easy process

There's a very old fashioned fair on the pier ,with a few rides
and lots of old fashioned games ,it has a great
american feel to it and I would definitely go on the
very large Ferris wheel again

We did get a cab to take us up to the Griffin Observatory
form up here we had fantastic views of the whole of LA
plus the famous Hollywood sign
It really is one of the best places to actually see how big LA is with magnificent views
We had a really friendly cab driver who took us there and turned his meter off as he got 25 minutes free parking , to be honest i think he was glad for the rest as
it was so hot in the cab he needed the fresh air as much as we did

One night we went to the famous Pinkys Hotdog Bar
and we got chilli on everything so unless your a big chilli fan i would go for something else
its was hot and hard to eat ,but you sat out back on plastic chairs at plastic tables
and it was a really enjoyable experience ,expect to queue they are always very busy , people travel from all over for their hotdogs

Beverly Hills was beautiful with its tree lined streets ,
one thing i did notice was how clean and tidy the whole are was not a bit of litter
to be seen anywhere , if only more places was like this ,
Rodeo Drive called the most expensive street in the world
was a treat to walk along , with so many designer shops
you could easily spend a whole after noon window shopping

Overall we had a fantstic experinece and hopefully one day who knows we may go back
