A Night On The Ice

So last night we went ice skating at the Natural History Museum , me my husband sister son my grandson's my nephew and neighbors son,
and yes we wore our antlers all night !
It was the first time i had been in over 10 years and it was a first time for some of the boys
The rink its self is stunning looking very festive with all the lights and Christmas music you get a lovely Christmas feeling while skating around , or should that be in some of the cases trying to skate around , the only down side i would say was the amount of people in a session it was so packed there was not much room in falling over without dragging some poor stranger down with you , as my sister found out !
I was surprised at how quick i picked it up being able to skate unaided and not fall down although i was wobbly felt great ,
the boys loved it i think they enjoyed the falling over and the laughs as much as the skating ,as i think they spent more time on their bums then on there feet ,there was a little rink just off on the side that they was able to go into at first to practice which was a really good idea

,

i hired a penguin for max that was a great helped and he loved it and
although it was an extra £5 it is well worth the money if you have a little one ,and lets them go off on his own he was so proud of himself

you get 50 minutes on the ice which dosent sound long but by the time your times we was ready to stop , a couple had already gotten off by then , but over all we had a really great time i haven't laughed so much in a long time , there's something about seeing someone thinking they can skate , like my sister then falling to their knees as she did
AND SHE'S OFF
AND SHES DOWN

we will certainly be going again next year but will go earlier in the season when it is not as busy ,
